The ’Students involvled in research’ initiative
This research project opportunity is nested in an ongoing relationship that the CBS Department of Digitalization has been involved in with the Copenhagen Airport A/S. It's purpose is to promote collaborative research between CBS and CPH A/S on topics that fall under the broad heading of 'Strategy and Data Science for the Digital Airport of the Future.' No masters theses have yet been done in this category, but the CBS side is keen to get this kind of work going so MS students who are interested in Technology, Airport Operations, and the digitalization of Air Travel and the Copenhagen Airport itself. The sponsor at CPH A/S has specific needs for assistance with video, image and audio data analytics, involving a variety of key activities in which real-time or over-time anomaly detection and digital monitoring are appropriate. They are also interested in research that explores emerging technologies that the Airport has been considering for possible adoption that adds to their monitoring capabilities for airport and runway operations, building and premises access, and passenger and vehicle movement. MS thesis students will be encouraged to undertake thesis project that are able to produce meaningful applied results for use by professionals at the airport. The specification of an MS thesis will arise from discussion within a targeted area of study identified by the airport, but be further designed to match the MS thesis goals at CBS for the student or students' program and concentration.
